iPad + Velcro

160 minutes

Just finished a jog for 160 minutes. During the jog I realized that, in fact, I wasn't primarily jogging. I was thinking and listening to music for 160 minutes, during which I just happened to jog.

This song was one of the highlights jumping out from the play list: "... I'm feelin' good from my head to my shoes ... I'm in control, my worries are few ..."

Addicted

Every now and then it happens that a song takes over my brain. This time it is Ms. Kelly Rowland with Commander. Well, Cheryl Cole with 3 Words comes second, that’s another song I cannot stop listening. Here they are I’m addicted:

Octomum!

I never would've imagined that I will meet the Octomum while I'm on my evening walk but that's exactly what happened. The pic is not so good as it was dark and raining but if look close enough there the kids are - all eight of them.

E72 internet radio

Yes, somebody asked me if it works and the answer is; yes it does and very well too. For example I drove 20k's the other day and the connection dropped once and came back in 2 minutes. Great feature!

Installed Skype on E72

Today I installed Skype on my E72 and it appears to be working fine. I have read some posts about the system crashing after installing Skype. However, I have not experienced any problems myself. Here is the link for download: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-mobile/download/

Sports Tracker

I’m happy to inform that Sports Tracker works also on E72 despite the device not being listed as compatible. I installed the version for N96 as the OS is the same: http://sportstracker.nokia.com/nts/main/download.do

Update:

Well, it turns out that Nokia is closing down its sportstracker site and a new team is taking over. Here you can also find the latest version of the software: http://www.sports-tracker.com

"After two and a half years of operation, the Nokia Sports Tracker beta service will close as of June 30, 2010. Thanks to all of you exercise enthusiasts who used the service and contributed valuable feedback to its improvement.

We want you to stay active. You can keep tracking workouts through a new, non-Nokia service provided by Sports Tracking Technologies available for free in the Ovi Store. The new service is open for registrations at sports-tracker.com, and you'll even be able import your workout history from Nokia Sports Tracker until August 31, 2010.

Why is Nokia ramping down Nokia Sports Tracker beta?
Nokia Sports Tracker beta was an experimental, specialized vertical service letting people collect, and share their physical activities and routes using their mobile devices. Nokia's strategy moving forward is to continue to deliver on the potential of this space, but through broader horizontal offerings that take advantage of our growing Ovi platform of services.

Thank you for using Sports Tracker beta. Stay tuned for more to come from Ovi."

E72 - no geo tagging???

The manual says that I should find geo tagging option under the camera settings menu. However, this option is nowhere to be found. I loaded all the latest updates including the firmware. Well, after some snooping around I managed to find a geo tagging software from Nokia betalab site: http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/location-tagger/download_and_installation

Despite some comments on the forum it appears to work perfectly on my machine. Recommended!
